Parent/Teacher Workshop: Early Childhood Development Thursday, February 04, 2016 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM Registration is required.
Dr. Alla Erlikhman is a board certified pediatrician with JT Pediatrics. She completed her pediatric Residency at Robert Wood Johnson the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital. She strongly believes that success in patient care comes from physicians' knowledge of their patients' full medical history and formation of trusting relationship with caregivers.
The objective of the workshop is to understand the intricate process of infant development through developmental milestones progression (gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, language, and social), recognize when development falls outside of expected range and briefly review early intervention services.
The workshop is free of charge and open to the public. Attendees will be awarded 1.5 continuing education hours.

C.S. Lewis' beloved and magical novel comes to life through dance! This world premiere, choreographed by Randy James, features members of 10 Hairy Legs dance company and special guests.
The classic story The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, set in the fictitious Narnia, features all of your favorite characters: the heroine Lucy and her siblings, the White Witch, Tumnus, Maugrim, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, nymphs, giants and, of course, Aslan the lion. Follow them through the land of forever winter to see if they can break the evil spell cast by the White Witch.
Presented in one act, this performance is suitable for children ages 5 and older.

A live event that combines classical music with two beloved Disney movies! The Czech National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ted Sperling, accompanies scenes from the animated feature films Fantasia and Fantasia 2000.
The Czech National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Ted Sperling share Disney's crown jewels of animation, Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, highlighting a selection of its magnificent repertoire, including Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker suite. Other iconic moments from Disney's stunning footage is shown in high-definition on the big screen, such as Mickey Mouse as he dabbles in magic in Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice and the mythical unicorns and winged horses that accompany Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 ("Pastoral"). Learning how to work your new camera properly can make all the difference in the world. This beginning workshop covers basic digital camera controls and how they relate to: light and shadow, exposure, color and composition. Bring your favorite point and shoot or SLR digital camera and the instruction booklet.

This course is broken into four mini-classes that cover key concepts in art making. Enroll in just one or all four to learn something new or simply get a little more practice. All materials are provided.
In our first "Take This Class" of the new year focusing on watercolors, you can learn techniques using washes, controlled edges, glazing and expressive brush strokes to get started or to take your talents to a whole new level. For adults and teens, age 16 and up.

Monday, February 15, 10am-3pm -- State Theatre New Brunswick
The State Theatre’s popular Family Day festival returns on February 15. The annual event is a great place for kids and their families to spend the Presidents Day holiday, with performances, games, hands-on workshops, exhibits, and more, stretching across four venues in and around the State Theatre. It’s a jam-packed day of fun for the entire family!
Headlining this year’s Family Day is Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia and their delightful trio of stories by Eric Carle, including everyone’s favorite, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The stories leap from the page and onto the stage with beautiful black-light puppetry.
