Science Magic Show today, SCLS Fun at 4H Fair next week plus many things to do before the summer is through!

Maps and schedules of daily events such as dog, horse and livestock shows are available in the information tent. Twirling, go karts, rockets, magic, model airplanes, R.C. cars, model trains and other 4-H clubs compete and perform. The Arts Tent, Science Tent and Prep Tent (for the youngest 4-H'ers) are packed with exhibits, activities for visitors, demonstrations and performances. Ten other 4-H tents house a variety of animals including dairy cows, beef, alpaca, horses, dogs, herpetology, sheep, goats, poultry, rabbits and small animals. Most animal tents have a petting area and information about how to join 4-H.

Somerset County Government, Raritan Valley Community College, Veterans Services, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Somerset County Library and other non-profit organizations and commercial advertisers have displays, information, contests and free gifts. Under the big top, over 20 community organizations offer a wide variety of meals and snacks. All day, professional and amateur entertainment can be enjoyed.

"Avoid the fuss, enjoy the bus!" To make getting in and out of the fairgrounds as easy as possible, free shuttle buses run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. each day of the Fair from Raritan Valley Community College Rt. 28, North Branch.  More INFO.

Music Under the Stars

FREE PERFORMING ARTS SERIES
"39th Annual - Music Under the Stars"

Music Under the Stars
Hunterdon County's 39th Anniversary of Music Under the Stars celebration will feature local talents beginning each Thursday, starting June 25th and run through August 13th at Deer Path Park (located at 120 West Woodschurch Road in Readington Township {directions} (next to the Hunterdon County YMCA facility). Shows began 7:00 pm and ran until approximately 9:00 pm.

Deer Path Park offers incredible vistas, especially at sunset, for spectators to enjoy. The park also offers plenty of room for the entire family to spread out a blanket, have a picnic dinner, hold an impromptu game of frisbee or volleyball, as well as enjoy the playgrounds.

August 6  Captain Jack - Billy Joel Tribute

The Captain Jack Band is a Billy Joel Tribute band consisting of some of the tri-state areas top musicians. The band, in every performance, captures the "live concert" arrangements of these timeless hits which captivated tens of thousands to Billy Joel concerts. Hub City Sounds Festival - August 8 - September 26, 2015

HUB CITY SOUNDS
A Free Family Performing and Visual Arts Festival in Downtown New Brunswick

WHEN: August 8 – September 26, every Saturday, as well as some Sundays
WHERE:
various venues around Downtown New Brunswick
ADMISSION:  free of charge for all Hub City Sounds events.
Free parking is available for the Boyd Park events, exactly one block away at the Rutgers Public Safety Building, located at 55 Commercial Avenue.

New Brunswick Cultural Center, Arts New Brunswick, and Johnson & Johnson present the fourth annual Hub City Sounds series, taking place  this summer. This FREE family-friendly series includes music, dance, and much more from industry professionals, emerging artists, local theatre companies, and other artists. Festivalgoers are welcome to bring blankets or chairs for lawn seating at park events, and refreshments will be available for purchase.
